oil pressure?

i seem to have a problem with my oil level indicator light.

when driving at nomal town speeds the does not appear except when cornering hard.

but when im stretching her legs a bit geting up to about 3000/3500 revs and 40/50 mph constant, the light comes on and the prssure needle jumps a bit.

ive checked the oil and its there, just below the top red mark on the dipstick

just realy want some opinions, do you think it the sump level switch, or the actual oil pressure switch?

the oil level light is for oil level, the oil pressure gauge for oil pressure. If the light comes on, your oil level is low or the switch is defective (i'd suspect the former)

your oil pressure needle should be pegged at 3 when the engine is off idle, if it isn't there's a problem.

are you sure you're checking the level correctly? when did you change it last?

The oil level transmitter has been upgraded several times, check the number on yours with MB. the movement in the preasure gauge could be no more than the loadings on the electrical circuits when the level lamps come on

like i say there is oil in the car and plenty of it,

where would i find the details of the sump level indicator
