Oil spray from filler

Noticed today that small quantity oil has leaked or sprayed from the oil filler cap also the dip stick top had popped out of the tube. Oil level correct. Car is a 2006 C180. Any ideas please.

Pressurising?

From what you say, there is some pressurising from somewhere. Could be a blocked breather system or something a lot worse. As it is 2006, Hopefully it will still be under warranty. I'd get it back to the dealer's to be checked out.
Hopefully it is not too serious.

Could be something as simple as an overfilled engine.

Or the dip stick needs to be tightened up a little

There was someone here recently with damaged piston rings that caused this.
