I'm about to replace all the injectors in the car with brand new brass Bosch injectors.

I'm getting a really good deal from a mate whose letting me have them for 70 quid on the basis that I rope in guys from the forum to buy them for 100 quid (25 each). :p. 100 is still a good deal.

There's nothing appreciably wrong with the way the car runs with the old ones but will it be even better with these ones?

To think of it now it sounds ridiculous cos I can't see any way for water to get to them but is corrosion and oxidation possible on the standard injectors?

it is supposed to be one of the advantages of brass ones being that they don't corrode. I was also told that injectors are a service replacable item as they do wear out.

It should run better but now much better is a moot point
The only analagy would be if you replaced say filters or oil - or spark plugs on a petrol car - it would run better coz they are new and have no wear.

Brass doesn't corrode - but is is slightly softer than other metals. I suspect the casing is brass but the valve seats are made of something harder (I've butchered a couple of brass screw with a power deriver when putting up say internal doors)

It looks like the part number for your is 000 078 56 23 and are listed at £33.84 each + Vat. Discount would normally be available.

Unless the one's you have been offered are exact same as above, then do not bother.
The flow rate could be less for example and that would reduce performance.

The part number I fitted is 043 750 20 47 it also had 014 listed which I think is the size. The outgoing ones also had 014.

I think It has improved isn't this the right part number? I think this is an upgrade part because it is listed for ferraris and 126's, etc....

I hope it isn't placebo but it seems better....:D

If these are not the correct ones for the car then I wouldn't fit them. The spray pattern may be wrong, the nozzle size may be too big (washing the bores with petrol & cleaning away the critical amount of oil which lubes the piston), the nozzle may be too small & giving a weak mixture (possibly blow a hole in the piston). If the original ones are OK then leave them alone.
