Hi folks,
I've been reading the forum with interest for a while, but this is my first post (be gentle with me).
I've recently found the said '82 2.4 diesel estate with 189,000 on the clock. Not sure of history at this point. It's been off the road for 3 years and the bloke wants £300 for it. It's a non runner at the moment - he reckons the gear box that needs looking at.
Worst case scenario, it will need a new one. But what sort of costs would I be looking at here? It's in Liverpool, BTW.
I'm looking for something cheap and reliable to run WVO. My head tells me I should be walking away, but my heart wants to breathe some life into it.
