Vaneo W414 1.7TDi
Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction? I have a 2004 Vaneo W414 and it failed it’s MoT for the rear suspension… the difficulty my mechanic is facing is getting hold of a bearing/bush, which he’s been trying to get hold of for a month now!
My question is: does anyone know whether this exact part is used on any other models (apparently they aren’t the same for the A Class), or whether anyone knows if there’s a part identification number/code to make it easier to search?
I’ve already emailed the Merc parts enquiries but not had a response from a week ago! I have also purchased the Haynes eManual (which is totally useless as it has nothing specific to the Vaneo, not even a fuse diagram etc)! Also, my mechanic has tried EBay etc and the usual car parts places!

TIA
Mark

Hi, thank you for your response. Unfortunately my VIN is not in their database!? Maybe it’s because of its age? It’s a 2004 Vaneo but Mercedes only built that model from 2002-2005? But thanks for your help- it was worth a try.

What bush is it, do you have a photo or any other details from him?

I just know it’s a rear axle bearing bush…that’s what my mechanic said. The MoT failure says • “Nearside Rear Suspension arm pin or bush excessively worn (5.3.4 (a) (0)”. I don’t have any other details or pics of the part.

Hi, many thanks for that it’s been very helpful. It gave me the correct details for the part… unfortunately we can’t get hold of it still as it’s out of stock completely- the only place I could find it was on a Russian site that wouldn’t translate but from the bit I could understand they don’t deliver to countries outside of Russia!? But at least I now know what I’m looking for, thank you.

Keep away from Russian sites, corruption.
Try google with part number.

Yeah I’ve tried all of the usual search engines… my part shows up but it’s “out of stock” everywhere so far. But thank you for your help.
