I notice Ebay Germany regularly seem to sell what I take to be old MB navi systems ( eg APS BT-2 ) complete with CD changers and CDs for not much more than a hundred quid.
Anyone know what the snags are for an impoverished 124 owner ( and whether they'll fit) compared with the newer 600/700 quid navi types that I can't afford? Will they still work?

there is a guy selling brand new becker units for about £200 with the latest version of the software etc.

Currently there are a lot of these units around as Landrover used to fit them either as standard in certain Freelander models or as a £1500 extra. Both of those options have now been dropped from the LR catalogue so anyone who has dealer contacts and a bit of know how can get hold of the units (about £150 seems to be the going rate if you buy in "bulk") and remove the "landrover" intro screen from the unit's bios

Hi,
The only snag with the LR units is that they dont have the fibre optic socket for the Merc CD changer
