Hi dose anyone know were I can find the engine number on the engine for my om602 I need the number to allow my to order parts ps the engine is not the original one for my 507d van regards ian

what engine have you got fitted instead of the original then if its the same type just a new engine then the chassis number should be suffice to order parts,i thought the engine number is on a plate riveted to the engine block somewhere from memory

Could be etched on a horizontal surface just by the front of the injection pump.

Hi Jason the original engine was 616 4 cylinder the van now has om602 na .l purchased van 507d with engine already in so checking against chassis numbers is no good thanks for your reply cheers,

Hi Jason finally found engine number you were right in saying its on a staped plate but finding it was a different matter , any how I found it on the bell Houseing under number 5 exurst outlet .thanks again for you reply cheers .lan
