Finally got round to having the thermostat changed it had been failing for a couple of months sticking between 40-60 degrees most of the time. Tickover over the last month with the very inclement weather we had wouldn’t drop from 800 rpm (normally 600) because the ECU thought the engine was permanently in warm-up mode and mpg had dropped by 30% which focuses the mind, the wife jested we may as well run a petrol V8 lol
