Our V220 (my2019) has ran perfectly for the past two years. (11000 miles) Took it to our local MB for its first service two weeks ago.
It now displays

this after a round 20 miles.

and this is the gauge reading..

Take it back I hear you say, I ***king did, they fixed it.

No they didn’t,
so before I take it back to their “factory trained engineers in their fully equipped workshop” does anyone have a pointer that I can offer them.

Has to be too much oil, expanding when fully warm or too thin an oil and becoming “frothy”.

So happy that I have a service plan with them ,
thanks in advance.

photos by swmbo, not I..

Both our sprinters come back every time with the same message, I just run with it eventually it will reduce.
I did call them once who said its fine, we're covered for there mistakes and it would be on there head anyhow. Nothing has happened in 2 years since

My W213 used to do the same, they reduced the amount they would add at later services. PITA as it was a 3 hr round trip to the dealers.
I don’t know if they made the software less sensitive as well in an update , I think they did (although I could have dreamed that bit)

What does the dipstick tell you? not the factory trained tech, the metal stick that plugs into the engine! :)

That’s today’s job. Just back from a few days in Cornwall. Left MB and drove there and odd as it may seem, locally to us, no flat ground, not even the garage forecourt and now home.
Still going back to MB tomorrow. Shall have to put my “best parade-ground” voice to work, appointment or not.

Thanks

Well, there you go, no dip stick in sight, no tube, just an engine covered in heat shields once the covers are off.

“have you never checked it before ?” nope. !!

the whole purpose of buying a new car with a service contract.. warranty and Mobilo.. as swmbo drives it.
tyre pressures, screen wash and washing and polishing only.

back to MB to sort it, thanks all.

Well, if you will frequent dodgy back street garages… Oh, wait…

Seriously though, pretty poor show.

It’s always a pretty poor show with these, have never had a first time fix.
They can’t even get the simple things right, but before I rant on…
