- 2014 639 Viano- 651, 5sp Auto. 2009 S211- 646, 5sp Auto.
I've put this in the electrics / ECU section as the stat gets a signal from the ECU.
More so in colder weather when i go for a fair distance the Viano can take 20 miles before reaching 80+ degrees.
t's had a new stat, it's been set up with DAS. I think DAS makes adjustments more related the heater element that is used to open the stat when more power is used.
Any way a few weeks back i had to stop for an errand after maybe a mile and then continue to Wales. The temperature was then up to 80+ within 5 miles. It seemed that the ignition cycle had caused the ECU to allow for a faster warm up??
Has anyone any thoughts on what might be the reason?
Anything that can be adjusted on DAS to improve warm up w/o the need to cycle the ignition.
