One folding mirror?!

Only one of my folding mirrors is working - how can this be?! I have a 2002 C class coupe and when I push the button, the passenger side dutifully folds, whilst the drivers side stays where it is. The mirror glass still moves fine, so not sure what could be wrong - any ideas?! Thanks.

When you press the button you can 'help' it slightly as it may just be stiff and require some lubricant. You can spray a PTF/Silicon spray into the mechanism.

PTFE Spray

Yes spot on I used PTFE spray on mine (Both sides) some 6 months ago and it sorted them out. In fact I would suggest a good squirt every service period would be an ideal bit of PM..
