Hi
What should be the normal operating temp for a SL500? Mine seems to always be around 90/110 even on a gentle motorway cruise at 70.The 80 mark in the middle looks like it should be right. Funny how you cannot get this info anywhere.
Thanks
Martyn.

Hello Martyn mine averages the 100 mark that suit me fine, and I would rather it be there than at 80, 100c or just above has always been the most efficient temperature for a petrol combustion engine.

With my old 1928 RR anything below 100c it needed some extra fuel to get up a hill. I used to blank off a part of the rad on my 124 to keep the temp up.

hope this helps
