Yes I saw that Malcolm. But my old neighbour does all my paintwork very reasonably, so no worries in that dept.
Cam chain going though? Quite a rarity I believe.

I wonder if the top cover has been taken off, they are a Garage as such, it does not take long to check. Would they let you remove the rocker cover to see

You have to buy it with the expectation that its going to need a new engine, then hope you can pop a new chain, valves and a head kit on it.
That said, I don't know how much the breakers would ask for a 230k engine. Whats the retail of a good nick one with the toys (seems to have memory seats, leather etc)?
On the upside, it's dash cluster isn't pixelated - very rare and valuable in itself ;-)

Seems way overpriced imo.A running clk with that mileage would be lucky to retail at £2999.

I must agree, you would have to be looking at a maximum of £500 to stand a chance of breaking even buy the time you have done all the required work.
