Opinions on 300TE 4Matic estate

Hello

I am looking at purchasing a 4matic estate and wondered if anyone had opinions or advice on this model ?
The one i am interested in is a 1992 model with around 150,000 miles on the clock.
Anything particular to watch for ? Are these good vehicles or is the diesel engined model superior ?

Hi Phil40,

I own a 300te 4-matic and have had no problems at all with the 4wd system. It's like any car - there are good and bad.

By the way, I may be selling mine. I've got an offer in on a diesel estate which I should hear about within the next 48 hours. The reason I may be selling is not the car, but the ever increasing mileage I'm starting to cover. The diesel would be a more economical alternative.

Mine's a very low mileage, but high spec car with service history. The oil has been changed approx every 6000 miles throughout its life as well. It's in very good nick for its age.
