Hi, I'm considering buying a Mercedes V-Class as a family car to be used for driving holidays and general journeys. All opinions on the V-class would be very much appreciated whether negative or positive. Thanks!

Hi & Welcome,

There are issues with the air suspension which has given owners lots of grief. Quite a few modify them to the spring setup from the Vito. There are quite a few posts on here about them but not many members with one.

As Blobcat but also the brakes on earlier versions (2002/3) leave a lot to be desired when loaded. The 2008 model 220CDI is a real winner in my opinion, returns 38/40 mpg the turning circle has been improved and the brakes are up to MB high standards.
