Hi I was wet on this forum because I have problem with my 2011 w204 C350, two months ago after rain was come on orange lights on dash ( Abs, ESP, and pressure sensor) I was buy a icarsoft computer for MB and after scan was saying that front right axle speed sensor is faulty.

Was order genuine from eBay installed and nothing was change fault still was on dashboard, try resetting error massage by this icarsoft computer but was not helping, after was went to euro car parts and buy second sensor from them install and exactly same problem fault still was displaying on dashboard computer was saying same fault code.

Was give up and install back genuine sensor and was driving like that with that orange lights on dashboard and few days ago when start car and start driving lights was gone and fault was gone! After two days without any fault was prepared wash for my Mercedes and after that problem was back and it’s here.

Anyone have any ideas where problem is? I don’t want put car to Dealership because they will charge me lots £ for investigation. I guess it’s have connection with damp or moisture somewhere but I don’t have clue where I should start.

Thanks for any advice.

I'm assuming this is the ABS sensor on the wheel. As far as I know, there are two elements, the sensor itself and a splined ring on the hub. It could be that the reactor ring on the hub is dirty / contaminated / damaged and causing the invalid reading to a perfectly healthy sensor.

Hello and welcome

Quite a few posts on here that non-genuine sensors give the wrong reading. I’d probably give MB Grangemouth a call (ask for Forum Discount) ;) And get one from them.

Generalky need to reset code after replacing and turn lock to lock.

Keep with the geniune MB part, the aftermarket will be in the bin in 9 months.

You may also have a bad connection in the wire from the ABS sensor connector to the ABS controller.

We misunderstand together sensor with is at the moment it’s back that genuine with spouse to be faulted, other two one from eBay any one from car parts was returned for refund. Anyway after all day drive now hour ago fault was disappearing and now all ok.
Just want mention that when I was swapping all that sensor each time I was sprayed connectors with that spray for electrical connectors in cars and each time I was clear faults using that icarsoft device but each time fault was come back.

Then for clearing information—- for two months after big rain car was drive with error code and orange lights on dashboard, two days ago for no reason fault was go away and yesterday after car wash fault was back for all day and go away just now I thinking that is something with moisture but still don’t have answer what.

Once again I want point that ABS sensor with is now in car it’s genuine Mercedes Benz part not eBay or other .
Big thanks for all your comments guys :)

Could be a wiring fault further along from the sensor plug? It has to go into a loom somewhere...
