Your car would have had 8 hole alloys as an option.

They regularly come up on ebay at a reasonable price....in fact, check here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2424364556&category=14771 :) :) :)

Alternatively, you could adopt a slightly more modern look and put on Aventegarde wheels like I have on my W124 below. To give you some idea, I paid £200 the set with tyres

Hello,

1989... the year of all changes. I think that if your car has the thin side strips your original wheels should be the 15 holes. If it has the thick, down to the bottom of the door trims (1st restyling) it should have the 8 holes. Note that this info is purely empirical and comes from observing the W124s we've owned so don't just take my word for it.

voorhas is right, the pre facelift wheels were 15 hole and the later were 8 hole - personally I prefer the 15 hole ones.

Standard wheels according to the owners handbook were 6 1/2 J 15" with an offset of 48 fitted with 195x65x15 tyres but you can go wider the W129 wheels which are 8Jx16 with an offset of 34 with 225x50x16 tyres will fit - any wider you'll need to flare the arches.

To post pics, find the pic you want to post on the web & assuming your usin windoze, right click the image, then properties and copy the actual address of the image....then type image address[\img] [/b]

Obviously I stand corrected about the 8 holes  - I suppose everyone has their own likes and dislikes but personally I think the 15 holes look rather dated.
