'orrible buzzing noise fusebox area ?

Hi everyone, my w124 260e auto has started making a horrible screeching / buzzing noise from the large black wiper / indicator relay thingy in the fusebox area, sometimes does it even with key out of ignition. This is definetly source of fault as it stops when this relay is removed. i fitted one from a merc breakers and this seems to have the same problem, although less frequent, ie. this one does it intermittantly. is this a known fault, have i been unlucky and the breaker has supplied me with another dud one? any input appreciated folks . cheers !!!!!!!:-?
