An update to my old thread, rebuilt my CBR last night & it actually went back together very well with no screws, bolts or fittings left over. Which if you know Honda fairings is a minor miracle in its own right. I did buy a new screen yesterday as I left the old one in the garage at the old house so unlikely to see that for awhile (if ever).
Short test ride up the drive last night and all well. It started first prod of the button, after being sat since July 06 and only being ran 2 or 3 times in the intervening period. Booked for an MOT on Wednesday then back on the road :D

It was very strange riding it to work this morning as I'm used to the BM which is a lot bigger & a lot heavier. Still it rode very well & they are changing the fork oil for me at the same time. It's really good to have it back & my partner is really keen as she is going to be riding it as soon as she's passed her test & before that off road practicing for her test.

MOT passed with no issues what so ever :) & just taxed it online.

I had the fork oil changed at the same time and they did an alignment check and reset the forks for me as they had moved slightly with the wheel rubbing up the side of the Mondeo. All in they were very impressed, next thing will be to replace the brake hoses with Goodrich braided ones as at 15 years old the rubber ones are a little passed their best.
