Liz thought the ML was massive, which it is, all she wanted was something thats sits a little taller than the average car. The A class was on the list of cars to see and Liz likes it so I suppose thats all that matters!!!

Drives nice has all the toys, she's happy, Im happy she's happy and now I dont have to keep scanning through the internet looking for cars.
Only 2 more Mercs required for the collection and im sorted, just need to find a nice 2.5 16v cossy and a 5.5 CLS and i'll be happy.

The only issue here is that, when you're happy Liz won't be as happy that you're happy as when you're happy that she is happy.

How about any classics? Nice Pagoda maybe?

Hi Jib,

We swapped the wifes car for an A-class about 6 months ago, its great so much room in it. We can get over 40mpg, it goes quite well and its rare.

Ive recently changed my car for an ML, I thought this A class was actually big until I park next to it :)

Great car though.

I like it, ok its only a 1.6 but it still has some grunt about it, I half expected it to lean on the bends but it doesnt its really flat around corners.

Can I get 3 Bernese in tha back thats the question!!!

Ricco my two 911's side by side.

I understand the "A" Class has what the Merky boys call adaptive suspension. As best I can make out, on cornering the struts allow oil to drain out of the main chamber making the system stiffen up. Does anyone have more information on this. My main bleat is that the wipers do not wipe closer tha 60mm to the A frame which combined with the A frame piller give a really big blind spot in dirty conditions. I don`t fancy your Bernese`s chances in the boot, it will only take 3 Sainsbury`s shopping boxes.

NewMB,

The 180cdi must do getting on for 60mpg, my wife can get over 40mpg in her A210 LWB.

The interior on the new one is far more up to date, very similar to the E class.

Enjoy it

The a class does not have adaptive suspension.

They have regular shock absorbers.

My brother has a 2005 160cdi Classic SE and he regularly gets 65-70 mpg on trips from Bournemouth to the Wirral. Staggering economy and the quality inside is right up there with the best. Bags of legroom too. Genius idea. Tardis. Vast space but park on a sixpence.
