overfilled transmission help

mb w203 2004 200cdi wagon
i have 722.6 trnasmission and i did oil change. oil level when warm is about 4-5mm over maximum on dip stick. is that way too much? if so i will drain some. if not then il leave it i guess

I would remove excess. Autos can do funny things when outside of specs. Get it properly hot and see how much over it is.

It can happen, but at least in the 722.6 transmission, it's not too difficult to rectify..if you have an iCarsoft obd scanner, go to "Transmission, live data, oil temperature " when it shows 80c, dip it, and if it still shows over fill, you can use an extractor pump to remove the excess via the dipstick tube. You can also an infra red thermometer to check the temperature. It goes without saying that the car must be completely level
