Later W202s were not fitted with OVP relays, to check look in the Ecu compartment at the passenger side rear of the engine bay.The OVP is a tall silver relay with a fuse on top.
Ok that would make sense I had a look earlier and couldn`t find anything resembling the description of the OVP relay either under the bonnet or in the boot beside the battery.This is frustrating as the car is behaving like it has typical symptoms of a faulty one,eg ,it intermittently stalls when I come to a halt during general driving(eg at a t junction etc).A new development is the car freely reving,almost to the point of stalling again when you come to a halt.My car is a c200 (202) petrol w plate year 2000 last of the old shape with140000 miles on it. Any suggestions are most welcome
