OVP MAS and ECU?

Please find pictures of the OVP MAS and ASD plus the ECU location in my 300 W124.

Anyone know what the MAS unit is? My OVP has 2 10A blade fuses both of which are intact, but I simply cannot remove the relay, is it normally very stiff?

the mass airflow sensor has to sit in the airflow somewhere. Mine is a little plug thing which slots into the air intake pipe after the filter and before all the other gubbins. If the OVP is secures as mine, then there is a little bracket holding it down. A bit of jiggery and some gentle pokery will get it out.or wibbling it about a bit.

I've looked up a bit here and it would seem that you just pull it out. From other posts the OVP may have some sorrosion on the blades and so may be a bit difficult to remove. Gently does it and watch for any catches etc that keep it in place.

The MAS is controlled by that KE switch module thats in your pic but the actual MAS is kinda mounted to one side of the rocker cover. If you are standing to one side of the car so that the oil filler cap is to your left (passenger side if its RH drive!) straight in fron tof you is the top of the rocker cover and right in the middle is a unit with 6 sides and pipes going in bothh the top and sides. That is the top of the MAS assembly!
