could somebody please inform me where the ovp is on a 98S E280 as i've tried to locate the elusive little so and so, to no avail

no expert on the E-class
but it's going to be in one of the following places.
near the ECU
near the Fuse boxe(s)
near the battery
with any other relays you have, if they are clumped together
about 10cm tall, by 3cm square, silver, with a transparent plastic top containing a fuse of probably 15 amp if you are a 280.
