Picked up an icarsoft MB V1 (decided I didn't need the extras of the 2 or 3) in my efforts to trace the intermittent slug mode.

This is the only current code in the engine or transmission modules and clearing (or stopping & pulling the key so it becomes "historic") brings the turbo back online.

Don't have any symptoms except the loss of turbo and kickdown after coming to a stop (but only after 10 mins or so of driving). No smoke, no rattles etc. Can only get live data at slow frame rates through OBDII but there's nothing obviously amiss in that. All wiring and connectors seem to be in good condition.

So, it it worth replacing the MAP sensor on the basis that it's reasonably cheap & pain free to do, or are they so utterly reliable that it's "not gonna be that"?

If it is easy to get to, try cleaning MAP sensor with a spray cleaner first.

Good point. I cleaned the pipe when I did the EGR but didn't remove the sensor and really get inside it because I was chasing dusk a little bit and wanted it back together.
