P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Fault

Hi

I have a 2001 CLK230 Kompressor. After a long run up the motorway the engine fault light came on when waiting in a queue of traffic. The Fault code is P0410. The car appears to run as normal. I have had the fault erased and the light has not rel-it since.
Any ideas what it could have been?

Adrian,,do look inside the MAF for any traces of oil, also the engine cam adjuster wires to see if they are oily

If that is the only trouble code, then the air system check valve is most likely blocked.

About £30 but can be tough to change?

Its item 250 in the lower picture, get the seal as well.
