p0685 Fault code

Hi eveyone!
After some help, I have had p0685 code on my car also as soon as I put my key in a give it one turn I hear an electric noise which doesn’t go until I turn the engine off which it goes after 2/3 mins, also have the same noise when I accelerate at high speeds it increases, I’ve looked online and am drawn towards the starter motor relay.

There a few things that's may cause this
Failed relay
Corroded wires
Fuse

Plus many more but these spring to mind

Best thing to do it get it on star, saves time and wonga at the end of the day.

"Star" is the Mercedes specific diagnostic machine

Star is mercedes specific diagnostic scanner. It does more than just read codes. All good mercedes indies have them. If they plugged your car in it would give them/you much more detailed information regarding the fault. At this point it's a guessing game star would point them you in the right direction for a fix.
