Hi everybody, newbie here!
After cleaning gunk from rocker cover & replacing copper washers following injector blowback on poorly maintained Vito, am not seeing much improvement in performance (in limp home mode). Carsoft shows error 1470 - boost pressure control vacuum transducer .As I found it hanging-on by cable tie, I wondered if anyone could advise how it should be reconnected. It has three vac ports labelled VAC, OUT & ATM. When I test it it gives a very faint click (+12v to pin 2 & earth to pin 1).
Also the heater control is either 100% on or 100% off - I believe that's vacuum controlled too? Is there anywhere I can get a schematic of the vac circuits???

Many thanks
Myles

AHHHH! ATMosphere! Vacuum is to a vacuum source & OUT is for other things requiring vacuum??? You knew I'd figure it out in the end, that's why no-one responded ;)

VAC - vacuum source
OUT - Turbo actuator
ATM - Atmosphere
earth to pin 1 allows vacuum to pull turbo actuator arm !?

Wiring all checked o.k., I get 15ohms across the pins at the ecu, no earths or battery on either leg.

pin 1 is signal, voltage varies between 4v and 6v, I get 13v at ~3000rpm when van goes into `limp-home' mode.

Swapped the transducer with one from a merc breaker, but it made no difference.

I Hooked-up a vac guage to the ATM line, and it was pulling a vacuum when it should have been 'tight', ie. 4v at signal wire and turbo lever pulled in fully.

Can anyone shed any light please?

hi p1470 is just a vague boost fault, try checking the rubber boost pipes they do fail fairly frequently & will give the same fault no.vaccuum should be 1000mbar at vaccuum connection on the vac control valve.ps i wouldnt use a 2nd hand valve they fail far too frequently to trust a used one!
