P200A fault on my E350 CDI

If it is the swirl port motor then bypassing with a resistor is the cheapest method but you will get some smoke formation and boost response will change slightly.

Just had my car scanned again and the codes are as follows:

1268 Charge pressure positioner - intermittent

126A Inlet port shutoff - intermittent

Went to local independent in Swindon who said it could be either inlet port shuoff motor knackered usually due to oil dripping on it or the butterfly valves sticking inlet manifold. They said £400 + vat to remove and investigate and probably around £1000 to fix totally depending on what's found. Seems a lot so getting second opinion. Not spending a grand on an E350 with 188000 miles on the clock. Fingers crossed the second opinion is much cheaper.

4.7k ohm resistor into the middle two terminals of the ilps motor cable . (Cost of 50p ? , 30 mins work )

Hi all,

My car is really noisy when setting off and now the yellow management warning has appeared on the display. Basically performance has dropped off but this used to sort itself out before I had the warning issue. My code reader picked up P200A. When looking under the pipe that connects the two air filters there seems to be oil on the left hand side indicating a leak and there is a smell of burning oil.

Any ideas what's causing this and could it be the reason I have a P200A fault?

Have in indy Merc specialist in Swindon but they are rip off merchants.

I had a P200A code on my C class coupe which was the mass airflow censor .
