Paint Code - which set of numbers is it

Hi
Hopfully a simple question
Under the bonnet of my 190E are several numbers
which ones represent the paint code ??

I only ask as I've Im trying to fit a spoiler to my car and want to colour match it properly..... I took the car into my local stealership and left it up to them to get the colour for me....only it didn't match quite right.....I didn't notice this untill I had sprayed the spoiler....
So I am going to go to a local Paint suplier I know well ...but  I need to know which numbers are the paint code.....

If your owners manual is like mine it is printed on your service record book on the data sheet at the back.

Three digit code, top right hand corner.

acording to haynes car manual i see it says the paint code is at the front, next to the vin plate (right of the bonnet catch).

I see the plate you mean but it has loads of numbers on it ....Which ones...?

if it helps, here is the chassis plate off my w202, you can see the number on here, it's the one all by itself - 891

and again here on the slam panel, where the bonnet closes:

EDIT: the chassis plate is on the inside of the driver's door I think, I took these pics a long time ago

Easy!  Ask them to paint it all #891 Alexandrite green, it's a 1998+ colour so it'll make your car look more modern

Ha good idea
But A bit Beyong my budget at the moment..

Plus my own workshop is in the process of being rebuilt (due to water damage) so I havent got room for spraying any large items. ... i spose i could use one of the barns on the farm but it's not a very clean environment ....liable to get a nasty paint finnish..

I sprayed my E30 Bimmer a nice Ford metalic red (got the paint free from work) .. It did look nice ... maybe spray the Benz.....hmmmmmmmmm
