My 300CE (1990) is Silver Smoke colour. I thought it was a pale gold but apparently its called Silver smoke or Smoke Silver! Anyway, because it is more goldy than silvery, I am not sure which type of colour wax to use. Do I use a silver one or try and find (coz no-one seems to have it!) a gold one?
Cheers

I have the same colour on a C280

I just use Autoglym super resin polish and extra gloss protector. It takes care of all the minor swirls in the laquer. I don't think a silvery or a goldy polish would help much.

autoglym as above.

a MER if you fancy. does as good a job. just a bit more effort needed to polish it when its dried.

Have the Mer but it is a sod to get off if it dries too fast! So will try the autoglym. Cheers guys

I have a smoke silver MB too. I used a horrible beige coloured Turtle wax which worked very well, but I have got best results on this colour from the Autoglym.

after you have polished with the super resin, apply the extra gloss and leave it about an hour before you rub it off. it seems to make the shine deeper.

Jeez. That ****** stuff is expensive! Put a £25 hole in my pocket! Shame Halfords don't have a loyalty card coz I have spent hundreds in there over the last three months!
Just washed down with mer shampoo, now using the autglym polish to be followed by the gloss.
If anyone sees someone selling ready painted 300CE wings 'RUSTFREE' - let me know as I just had a quote for replacement and respray! *swoon*
Cheers again guys.
