If there is such a thing....and how old does a car have to be to quailify for it and I take it the history would need to up to scratch for it to be valid.
If its just the finish I would have thought that it would expire with the manufacturers warranty. Any manufacturing defects should be evident within a few months, let alone a few years.
Again depends on what type of work you are referring to, is this blisters, rust issues etc.
I've just had my 1998 C250 done under warranty due to blisters rust. I was told by Merc dealer that the car from new comes with a 4 year warranty and then provided full service history Merc may give a further 4 years goodwill warranty. Total 8 years. Most of the service was by a dealer HOWEVER the most recent was by an independent. This all stacked up and the work was covered by Merc.
