Does any on the forum know where the front drainage holes are on my panoramic roof? My car is 2013 E220 cdi amg sport, reg R4AUK. I have looked but just can't see them. I have a leek running down the inside of my nearside door pillar. I have just replaced the side roof seals and couldn't see any sign of them under the seals. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure but normally should be at front corners and drains out at front mud flaps stipple drop of warm soapy water it around sunroof lip when open and watch to see if you can see it drain at rear of front wheels. Worth a try once located a curtain wire is good for feeding through with boiling water. Although I was also told. It seems the rear drains feed into a 1/2 inch hose that comes down the rear pillar and exit behind the back wheel behind the plastic .

Thanks for your reply. I'm off out to have a go. If I see where the drains are located I will post a picture of their location to help others.

Some posts say remove headlining but I have cleared different mbs and never had to I found the soapy water was a good way as it was easier to see I used green washing up liquid so even if ground was wet it eventually showed up.

Once you get the drain clear - curtain rod can help with that... open the roof and really clean and polish the metal so that water hasn't time to pool before it runs down the drain.

Thanks for your post. Can't even see where the drain is with the roof open. Seems to be under the glass front panel somewhere and I cannot see in there. I used a curtain wire and a strimmer wire to see if it could locate the hole, no joy. Took rear part of the front wheel arch off to see if I could locate the pipe from there. No sing of any drain pipe except for the one that drains from the scuttle panel.

Just a thought if you clipped off the
inner A pillar which should not be too hard to remove enough just to see if there’s a drain tube in there if not then you could try to see if part of B pillar would come away just enough to check in , there. Might be worth a try , other option if you have garage and time mix up bright food dye and gently fill up your sunroof channels ( not overspill into car ) leave over night to see if any of the coloured dye makes it out they would have to be very solidly blocked for nothing to make it’s way through. ( Very hot water mix if possible. ) also it has to come out most I have seen there was a very small amount of tube showing just behind where mud flap would have been , and poke about with screw driver in below in this area as at some time they may have been spray over and clogged with under seal like stone chip etc. there has to be an outlet or else drains into bulk head drains at each side of front wind screen so if use dye check in that area too.

Thanks for the message. There is no pipe anywhere in the wheel arch as I had the wheel off and the wheel arch removed. The only drain there was the bulk head which is quite large. Maybe the drains come down the door pillar and somehow exit at the bottom of the pillar into the bulk head drain, only a thought. I will check this tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I phoned main dealer for help, still waiting for reply, not hopeful.

Maybe I am wrong but I would have thought there was 2 outlets perhaps leading to a single drain hose. Ie if parked on steep hill if only one drain outlet water would have to fill high enough to get to the out let. If you know what I mean.
