Hi all,
I drive a Merc c180 Compressor (2007).
Not the worst thing that could happen to my Mercedes, but something thats really irritating.
Not sure how it happened but essentially...The parcel shelf is attached to two strings with black clips on the end. They clip on to two (one on either side of boot) grey stud type things that are placed in holes on the boot lid. When they are in the holes they appear as two little round nubs which fit perfectly into black clips attached to strings.
However - On both sides these have come out of the holes in the boot lid, meaning I can't attached the black clips to them- so when I lift the lid, the string/parcel shelf won't lift either.
Now, I know these studs came out of the holes, but I cannot get them back in! I have tried with a hammer (lightly as I don't want to break/crack anything). Is there a knack to this? Are they broken and I need to buy new ones?
I know in the grand scheme of things this really isn't a major problem, but its just really annoying.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
