So i think i habe some kind of park assist but im not so sure. I get a blue "P" when travveling at low speed on a road with ars parked along the sides. Is there anyway of knowing what ive got? My mrs ar parks its self, its the inly way she manages to keep her wheels crom being curbed to death! I onow there are 2 differnt types on the mercades. For thoughs thst dont onow irs a CL63 AMG 2008 but 2009 build (early relice build according to medcades). I also found it odd that i seam to habe more TC channels in the car than at home!

While im here and i know this will go into the correct section is there any way of tilting wing mirror down automatically when selecting reverse? I sit so low and the CL mirrors are not much good at the best of times!

Good morning,

The blue P is parking assist. As for the mirror, passenger side, it should dip when reversing. Maybe it is not set up.

When your car sees a space on the left (you need to be indicating right for it to look for spaces on the right) you'll get an arrow next to the blue parking P. Stop, select reverse & your car will ask (on the dash cluster) if you want it to park itself. YouTube will have a video

For the mirror to dip when selecting reverse you need to have the passenger side mirror selected on the door switch.

Also put your vehicle vin in here www.lastvin.com and it will give you a list of all the options fitted to your car when it left the factory.

To set the passenger mirror up : with the engine idling select reverse select passenger mirror and adjust to suit the downward position you want then put it into park and the mirror should move back to normal position. If you select reverse it should drop down. It doesn't matter which mirror is selected once set up it will dip regardless. You can fine tune it ehen in reverse and passenger mirror is selected.

On my old 2017 C class and my current 2019 C class you need to have the passenger side mirror selected for it to dip when reverse is selected.
It will not dip if the drivers side mirror is selected.

I’m sure that’s the case for mine as well. And, for some models at least (but I have heard of exceptions), you need to have the Memory Seats option otherwise it won’t work.

Mine doesn't have memory seats but still dips when passenger mirror selected on switch and going in to reverse.
