park assistance sensor stuck!!

Dear Admin and group member,
Before two days i sent my mercedes E200k to workshop to repaint the front bumper which needed to unplug the park assistance sensor cable. when i started the car, the red light for the front and rear sensors keep lighting and beep, then it turned off automatically. no malfunction appeared on dashboard.
could you pls advise the reason and the solution. also, if sensor painted does this affect its work?

I'm unsure about the unplugging, but pretty sure that paint will stop the sensor working - it will confuse it to think something is in the way..Even a build up of dirt/mud will affect it this way
