Parking Brake fault

Afternoon all
Beginning to wonder if this buy was a good idea - on top of a glow plug light thats on ( for about a minute) while running, an engine fault light permanently on (code P2084) I’ve now got a parking brake malfunction - yellow lamp and red briefly - nice big red warning that its not working and to seek a repair. Have tried to reset it - it will clear but only until it’s used again
Any advice on likely cause and costs of repair? It’s going for service (hopefully) in ten days to a Mercedes Indy
Thanks

Sorry should have stated;

2008 S320 CDI
Had it a fortnight and don’t think it’s been doing a great deal - which they don’t usually like - this ones only done 27k with paperwork to back it up - it’s great in most aspects- just these niggles spoiling the party

A 2008 S320CDI with only 27K miles... a very rare beast indeed... I’d be checking the MOT history and modules for mileage discrepancies...

If you have only had it a fortnight take it back to the seller.

Yes like a hawk - m.o.ts, servicing etc confirm it - as does its wear and tear there isn’t anything notable- I know they soak up mileage but wear on touched surfaces is difficult to disguise and there’s none. Think it’s lack of use is causing its issues - once in more regular service it’ll settle down

Indeed - it’s having the glow plugs/ relay looked at by them and it’s service A , local garage the dealer uses - but from previous experience, they seem to benefit from garages that know them - a lot of the time it works out less expensive because they know where to look and how to fix quickly - not a car to skimp on if you want it to remain at its best

Once they have done the service at their cost, I would take it to a MB independent garage & get it checked out. 2008 E320's have a good name for reliability.

Get it round to your local indie before your dealers friend services it if you can and get the once over from him if you in anyway doubt the car

Don’t doubt the car - it feels and drives like new - feels taut like you’d expect at the mileage

I think to pinpoint the fault code accurately you probably need Star at your Indy but to protect your pocket initially you need to start a conversation with the selling dealer about agreeing costs/repairs . Preferably in writing
