My parking sensors are coming on at low speed, when I slow down to a near stop the sound comes on and I get two red LED in the display

Any suggestions on the fault?

One or more has failed will be the likely problem, but the only way to confirm is having the codes read and values checked, if your handy with a multimeter you could take each one out and test but it’s not guaranteed

Used to have a C63...
Quick way to tel if one has failed...

Ignition on, activate sensors (ie put it in reverse if you suspect rear sensor fail, or press the P button somewhere on lower dash), then go and place your ear next to each sensor in turn.

If working, you'll hear a very soft clicking noise; if silent, it's FUBAR'd.

Thanks Guys

There are no faults on the code reader I will check them all this weekend
I was not sure if there is a reset procedure?

Apart from the noise test mentioned above, if you have a half decent fault diagnostic unit, you can go into the live data for each sensor and it should give you a sensible reading for each sensor in terms of distance up to something like 2.8m. I would expect a faulty sensor to show an error or an implausible distance.

Does your car have a self-parking feature? If so, it is telling you there isn't enough room to park there.

When the car senses a faulty sensor it shuts the entire system down,

Ok I have found the Module it is in the passenger foot well behind the carpet and the aluminium guard
I have removed the module and re fitted I have removed and replaced the two fuses hoping it will re set

As soon as I put it into drive or reverse it beeps and I get 4 red lights come on (2 left & 2 right on display front and rear)
If I drive off then everything clears and then when I slow down it comes back on 4 red lights and sound

While messing about into Reverse and drive they did work for a little while then stopped again which would suggest sensors OK and it is the control module...

Again put the ICARSOFT tool on and no faults

So I am thinking the control module.....any comments??

Self guessing is expensive, get the fault looked at by someone with proper (star) diagnostics. Very rarely control module but it’s your money.

As said above, most likely be a sensor, front number plate sticking out too far???

Just a thought - is the front panel on your car clear of damage? I ask because I've got after market sensors which are okay (-ish for 90% of the time. They do beep okay and prevent me hitting an obstruction in front) but the fitter warned me that they're sometimes liable to beep on slopes - apparently due to the only possible locations for the sensors on the front panel. He was absolutely correct - my driveway has a mild slope and when reversing the front sensors will sometimes beep as they detect the ground. Fortunately, it doesn't really bother me - keeps me attentive, I guess.

Hi Andrew, my W212 is having the same problem, sensors working, xentry shows no error, but front left parktronic keeps beeping when slowing down. May I know how did you fix the problem? Thanks.

Dirt? I know light snow set my sensors off last winter. Could dirt or dead flies do the same?
