Hi I am going to go straight in.

I have just purchased a Mercedes Sprinter CDI313 2014. I really have not much experience with this as this is my 1st Mercedes. Overall am happy though.

Ok, So I have got an issue with my Parking Control. I know now enough to explain the situation. There is a double set of red lights followed by a Beep and then shuts down after 20secs and does it again. I have taken it to a Auto Electrician with no success on the repair. But this is what happened. When he resets the Parking it works and all sensors work including the Rear. As soon as the Ignition is switched off and then back on again, it goes back to the fault. Every Sensor has been changed now and 10 in total. When connected to the diag equipment, it shows each sensor working. I have attached the DIAG code that keeps appearing after reset. The other thing is where is the PDC Module located on this Van as not able to locate it. Really would like to know where it is.

So Diag Equipment connected, reset faults and Parking Sensors spring into life, go around van to each sensor and they are working. Also the DIAG shows they are working, move forward and back all works but as soon as you turn of the ignition and put it back on again. 4 Red Lights and Beep and then 20sec Shutdown. Lost now and really would like to get this working. Hoping someone has a solution or could point me in the right direction.

I checked all Wiring which I can see including the Block Connector at the Front Bumper. Also when I changed all the sensors, I WD40 all connections. But as said, when reset working so am at a loss. Run right out of ideas now.

I would like to say Happy to Be here and Hi to all on this Forum. . .

TY

I think that element 2 (rear) is referring to one of the sensor locations - not sure which other than it being the rear. Sounds like it decides to become faulty at some point shortly after being fired up. Can you not swap the sensors around to see if the location of the element 2 sensor moves around to help pinpoint it?

Might just be easier to buy a used set of Ebay and plug them all in and see if it gets fixed..

Yes tried that since that fault it has had all the sensors replaced. I got a Sensor from Mercedes but it has not solved it.

Do you know where the Parking Module is located?

I purchased a new Module and believe it is located under the passenger seat but do I need to take the seat out to get to it? I have ordered a full set of Sensors and am going to change them all over. Will be doing this next week when they arrive.
