Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum so, please excuse my ignorance on certain topics. I am an ex-patriot in Jundiaí, a large town near São Paulo, Brazil.
Down here MB parts suppliers are basically a bunch of pirates and charge what they like for even the basic stuff like filters. I was quoted R$935.00 for an air filter for my 1976 W116 280s (the Solex 4A1 carb version), that price would be like paying 935 pound in the UK!
Fortunately, my brother still lives in the UK, in Doncaster, thus can get parts sent out to me are more reasonable prices (I hope).
Can anyone suggest a good parts supplier particularly for the W116?

Please visit the following sites: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mercedesw116/

Thank in advance,
Martin

W116 parts

Thanks for the replies however, many North American dealers do NOT ship to South American and there is also the question of the 40% import tax slapped on anything that comes through the post with an invoice attached.

I know what you mean Martin, I live in Ireland and ordered a fuel pressure testing kit for $100 and was wondering what was keeping the delivery. Customs in Dublin are looking for the about $60ish(37.71euro) off me or else they will send it back. What a scam
