Hi all,
I have a 1993 w124 e320 Kombi with rust on the front right wing. My question is, will a pair of wings from a 1992 TE300 W124 Kombi fit? Has my loom got the wiring for side repeaters hidden inside the wings???? I ask as a German guy down the road from me is breaking one with good wings, but they have side repeaters on them!

Many thanks in advance

Regards
SF

Hello,, you have no problem in fitting those wings, the wiring is not part of the wings, it goes through the inner wing and into the front indicator wiring, and easy to add to your car.

When you take off the wings from the donor combi, take the wiring too

Its easiest to run the wire from the wing into the inner wing, and splice in where the wires break out of the harness and go to the front blinkers. There should be a hole there already as they on this thread not all cars had them, if there is no hole then run them along the inner wing to where the aperture is for the front blinkers sit, and this might be the easiest neatest way. On cars where I have done the blinking mirror mods, it has never been easy to get the the side marker wires, and I have used the instrument cluster in stead

Well i bought one of the wings as it was like new, and it was the side i needed:D
Havent fitted it yet, but i will now cut a hole in my good lhs wing to fit the repeater to match my new wing. Just got out of hospital from keyhole surgery on my AC joint, so lugging car parts around is probably not the best idea;);)

Kindest Regards

For a template, just use the rubbing technique with a piece of paper over the hole and rub round the edge of the hole, and you will have the outline. Cut the hole out. place masking tape where it goes onto the wing where you want it and pencil around the template. leave the masking tape on when making the hole, then you cannot scratch the paint

You can't look at both side at the same time, you may be creating a rust trap...

Silverfox-Just got back from Tesco,s and parked the chopper all good advice already given-a good idea would be to double seal the lower front inner wing before you fit it too?
