Passenger air bag light.

Hi all,

Bit of advice needed for a new Mercedes owner if possible please.

Have recently purchased an E350 coupe, C207,I think is the model code. Year is 2009

Have noticed that when the ignition is first turned on, a message in the middle of the dash is displayed stating that the passenger air bag is off. This goes off after about 5 seconds. The SRS warning within the instrument binnacle goes out when the car starts.

Is this normal start up sequence, or is there a fault within the system.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
