Did you check the fuses first ? Looks like a door card off job .Check the parts inside the door first for 12 volt supply .
If you have no 12 volts, it just might be the loom as it comes out the door pillar in to the door .Shutting and opening off the door the wires can get damaged in the loom .
hi yes I've checked fuses all ok can't check for volts don't have tools or knowledge to do it I thought it may be the door control module as when I bought this car last year it have this fault the garage repaired it but it has returned.
SAM = Signal Acquisition and actuation Module- basically a fuse box with internal relays/microprocessors which controls most of the electrics in your car...
I can only find a picture of the K40 for the SLK230 shoild be the same .
Its the part with all the fuses in the top , check all the fuses first To remove the sam all the plugs pull out along with the K40 SAM unit .
