Hi All

I currently drive a Sprinter 311cdi (fantastic machine). Over the years I have lost thousands of cigarette lighters / pens and even keys down through the whole in th epassenger seat ( where the seat belt clips in ) . The van is ply lined inside including a bulk head pannel. I was wondering if there was a way to tip the passenger seats forward ? I could find no clips or levers anywhere but I have seen this area being used as storage for a spare battery in camper models.

Thanks in advance for your help

Great site btw

There's no way to tip the seat forward but it can be removed pretty easily.

Down the seatbelt hole there should be a bolt.
At the outside rear edge of the seat base another bolt.
At the inside rear edge there's another.

The seat lifts out, or maybe tilts then lifts out, sorry cant remember.

Another avenue to explore is to remove the plastic storage thingy under the seat. I'm fairly certain it just pulls out.

BTW there's supposed to be a foam packer in that hole to stop things falling through.

Hi And thanks for the reply.

I will try your suggestion. There is no packing piece but I have shoved a rolled up tea towel down there which has worked so far
