Passenger Seat

Hi have just aquirred 1977 350 SL and passenger seat is locked it will not slide fore or aft
Can you remove the seat from the runners in situ or do I have to take out runners and seat as one unit ( please God no )
If seat can be removed from runners what would be the fix to ensure fore and aft travel

The above link has all of the diagrams, you should be able to release it when you work out how to release it

Hi thanks for the response but I am still none the wiser as to how to release or to remove are there bolts or nuts underside of the seat wherby you can remove the seats from the runners or do I have to remove the whole assembly

Its more normal to remove the seat complete with runners, only 4 of them,all easily seen
