Hi all I have a problem with my vito 115 automatic gear shift It has been looked at and I'm told the fault is the small board on the gear shift I rang mercedes for a price on a replacement and was told I can't buy it .I need to buy the hole shift unit I'm not sure if this is right. Why would the 2 boards be removable if you have to change everything. So my question is it what they said right or could I get new boards from somewhere please olso do they need programming to the van.

It is a common issue and they can sometimes be re-flowed with a hot air station or by putting the PCB in an oven.
