PCV system - Blow-by

Dear All.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the PCV valve or filter on my 200E (W124 - 1991)? I notice lots of oil around the oilfiller cap, and I suspect that the crank case breathing system is not working properly.

Why don't you just replace the oil filler cap with a modified one and monitor the situation.

Sorry, should indeed have mentioned it first time, but the garage replaced the cap with a new one at the last service with no improvement: oil still comes out.

Any idea?

Hi

Well if thats the case then check the air filter for oil. If there is oil there or deposits  then I think the engine is worn.

Hi Andy,
Engine has 110K mileage, not likely worn, but I'll check the filter for sure. Returning to my earlier question: can you point me where the crack case ventilation valve (or filter, don't know which) is located on the engine? Still think there's the problem.
