The A10 is a very busy road with oxymoron drivers.

One cant point a finger at this stage, the damage is extensive to the car, for a human body to do that much damage one cant help thinking that speed must have been a factor.

The things that I hate where I live is how car drivers go so fast around the little roads with no footpaths and blind bends,, they may know the road,,but they could never stop.
Even when there is someone walking on the other side of the road and a car comes along from the opposite direction, that car will never slow down or stop, they just swing out into my path and I am the one who has to stop. I do not understand their mentality or way of thinking.

A sad story indeed

I am sick to death about the way the media feel the need to mention what type of car was involved in an accident. ' man hit by Land Rover ", ' pensioner killed by mercedes " , ' 3 car smash involving Range Rover "......

A vehicle is a vehicle is a vehicle. The need to name the maker of the vehicle is little more than attempt to paint a pre conceived portrait of the person they feel is likely to be driving it.

x2. They often used worlds like ploughed into to make the article more emotive, and also name the driver like "the £50k/year executive driving the high powered 3 litre £40k BMW" was one I heard.

This article doesn't seem to bad, and looking at the damage to the car it either (isn't as well made as I we'd hope), the driver was going a helluva speed (not the sort of car that is usually caned), so my guess was that the driver hit something else trying to avoid padestrian.
