Hi
How accurate are the computers on a E 240. I ran the tank very low it told me I had 13 miles range. I then went to the garage and put in 56 litres and the computer tells me I have 51 litres in the tank, I gave it a while to settle. I have no plans to run it this low again.
Also the outside tempurature readout seems uncalobrated it is showing to high a temperature, could it be the sensor is dirty, if so where do I find it.
Thanks
Jim

How old is the car? - this is a known fault with the petrol tank senders which will need to be replaced - this was done under warranty on my W210 few months ago- you may be able to take it into your local dealer and try for a "goodwill" repair if not under warranty.

-As for the temp sensor I'm not sure but on my old C-class it was under the front left hand bumper sticking through a hole in the bumper trim

Maybe its not counting the reserve fuel?

Ive never found the temp to be that accurate. But if completely wrong, then get it looked at through the warranty.
