Note to mods - feel free to move this if I've put it in the wrong section :-(

Anyhow, can anyone identify what phone should fit in this cradle to power the command center (the car is a 2005 C270 CDI). I initially thought a Nokia 6310i, but unfortunately (as I have an old one in a drawer) it's not that.

If I can't find the phone, I thought about one of these: http://www.comandonline.co.uk/product.php?productid=16161&cat=0&page=1&featured as that would link to our N95 / W810i anyhow and provide a little more flexability, but they are a little pricey and I don't know enough about the system in the car to know if it's compatable.

Thanks for any help :D

You realy need to show a picture of the conections end of the cradle, that looks like an aerial socket at the top so that means it's an old style nokia for me. But as you say not a 6 series.

Nope, it's def not one of those as they do not have an external ariel connector ...

I'd say the opposite. There is no external connector on the crade, but the lump in the middle of the cradle is the inductive antenna that links to the inductive reciever in the back of a 6230i. (I have one in my car).

The external one you are thinking of is the predecessor to that phone - the 6320i (taller with a b+w screen and no camera) - all very confusing as the 6320i came before the lower numbered 6230i!

Very true Malcolm, but I think it was all sorted by the time the UHI system came out. I do remember trying to get my 6320i working in a 2003 E320cdi fixed cradle and being rather dissapointed when it wouldn't. Put me off the whole car.
